I've had good success with some weird and wonderful Toshiba swaps, they don't seem too fussy.

To me it looks unlikely.
I wouldn't sacrifice a good 1TB donor drive on this.
But, as Nick said, Toshibas are tolerant and maybe it will work.

You will get different opinions from different people. One way to find out if it will work is to try it yourself. If there is no obvious media damage then give it a go.
