Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello.
I have big problem. I wanted to hide encrypted HDD (by TrueCrypt), because Windows asks me if I want to format it every time I plug in it - that's annoying.
By mistake I've deleted volume of my encrypted HDD instead of deleting just letter from it.
I've added new RAW system file volume and I can still decrypt it by my old password. Nevertheless after mounting it Windows can see unformatted partition so I can't access my data.
I need your help to fix it. There was just one hidden volume on the HDD and it was formatted by NTFS file system.
I hope I can access my data again.
Thank you in advance.

Did you create the true crypt recovery disk ?
http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/?s=rescue-disk IF not then bye bye data ! I haven't seen anyone recover truecrypt drives or volumes without this.

Thanks for reply. No I didn't.
But it wasn't system partition/drive.

So your telling me that during the creating of the truecrypt container you were not prompted to create a rescue disk ?
