Hello!
im new to this forum but im very desprate!!
i've looked everywere and tried all kinds but till now nothing worked..
i tried ubuntu, hiren's boot cd, minixp,
Here is the case:
i recently bought myself a new HDD. because i first had 3 different and i just wanted 1 for all my data. everything was fine. my idea was to remove all the HDD's and replace it with the new disk i just bought. then after setting up windows, i would place all my data to the new drive with sata cables. but when i connected 1 of the 3 harddrives, ( an Maxtor) all my data was lost. it was unpartitioned.. now when i connect the drive, it showes my an partition of a few MB. so i'm afraid the partition table is broken and i'm unable to recover any of my data..
does someone know an sollution??
It would be so kind.
thanks already,
Bram

More info / diagnosis is required.
Does the drive get detected with correct model, serial & size in BIOS?
Upload screen shot of Disk Management in Windows OS?
Upload screen shot of SMART data?
Does the drive make any strange noises?
If hardware is ok then you could try FTKImager or R-studios software to see if they can access your data.
Also look at Partition Find & Mount software might work?

Thanks for your reply,
It does show that i'ts an 500GB Maxtor drive. its unpartitioned bacause its suddenly allocated data. so it doesnt show me partitions cause there arent any. there is one of a few mb but it has no drive letter. i'm not at home at this moment so i can't make screen shots. but do you have a possible sollution or option i can use monday when i get back?
thanks !
