hello all ive been tryin to get my old maxtor hdd(xp pro) working on my laptop(vista home) via a usb dock i alrready have several hdd that have worked seamlessly using disk managment. ive done a clean install of xp on the maxtor as i was going to use the comp again then i thought no i will just use hdd and get rid of case to free up some room.ive plugged in the maxtor into my dock and get the new harware box come up etc then when i check in device mnger it has a yellow triangle under usb controller menu(usb mass storage) therfore its not recognized in disk manager. if anyone has any sugestions i would be very grateful thanks Ben.

If the drive is being recognised as "Romulus" (factory alias) then the drive at least has a firmware problem, possibly more serious issues.
