Every donor PCB i have sourced has a different architecture to the original PCB.
I have uploaded picture of original PCB, would anyone have any ideas as to what is the issue.
Most PCB from this family have a motor chip with a seperate ROM chip situated next to it. Does this PCB have embedded ROM with no seperate ROM chip? Is the chip i marked the ROM chip?

If you would like to troubleshoot the original PCB, then measure the voltages at each of the two TVS diodes, the voltage at the 3R3 coil plus the two coils above it, and the voltage at the left end of the diode at 10 o'clock to the 6R8 coil (the negative preamp supply ?).
One of the supplies will provide +1.8V for the SDRAM.
I can't discern the part number of the flash memory (540-7561P ?), but pin #8 should be its supply pin. Its date code appears to be 1228, ie week 28 of 2012, so this would make the drive a very recent model.
As for the location of the "ROM" on your donor boards, if the 8-pin chip is located near a coil and/or near the motor controller, then it is most likely a MOSFET chopper or a FETKY (MOSFET plus Schottky diode). If you have installed the original flash memory in place of a FETKY, then heaven only knows what damage you may have done.
Do your donor PCBs look anything like this?
