Hi
This is for repair NVRAM. Can't read NVRAM from SA.
I have an almost identical donor FW.
The FW version is C72E and the one from the pacient is a C71E.
HDD model of donor: HTS725050A9A364 and the pacient: 725050A9A360
Can I work with it?
Or can someone share the FW?
Thanks

NV-RAM normally resides in serial EEPROM on the PCB, although some Hitachis have NV-RAM copies in SA.
AFAIK, patient / donor FW versions always (dangerous word) have to match.

Hi Jono
But to do a repair, we need to find a donor, right?
This is possible to do..
Thanks

Sorry pclab, I can't send PM for the moment. Tell me how can I do a copy of the firmware without disassemble the hardware or damage the HD.
greetings.

there is no copy of NVRAM in SA module of this 2.5" model.
You can search RAM range to try find native NVRAM data if you have access to SA with donor PCB.

Of course. Maybe this is a language problem . . . you are looking for a donor?
