October 26th, 2012, 6:37

Hello everyone,

I have a WD5000BMVV-11GNWS0 which is not recognised. I put a compatible SATA board and swap ROM and the drive in UDMA becomes
ready but when i try to enter the utility it goes busy and it hangs.
The drive is not clicking and it has normal sounds.

I have load a loader in Kernel but the drive keep having the same bevaviour.

Does anyone came across such case?

Thank you for your time.

Sometimes they take a LONG time to come off BSY, wait a while. I had one that took over an hour to come off BSY and then ages more to get right into the utility and fix the fw problem.

Obviously do not leave it running if you hear any clicking, buzzing or any unusual noises,
