Hi all,

I got the following drive:
Model : WDC WD10EACS-32ZJB0
Firmware : 01.01B01
Capacity : 931.51 GB (1 953 525 168)

By running SA structure test I have got the following errors:
0021: B : 79283: 70:No : : : : :S.M.A.R.T.
0022: B : 79353: 70:No : : : : :S.M.A.R.T.

0034: C : 1442: 12:No : : : : :G-List (Grown defect list)
0032: B : 1454: 32:No : : : : :Relo-List (Candidate defects)

All the rest modules are good.
I attached the full report.

In the current state there is no any access to the data (by sector edit).

Before I will do stupied things I would like to have your opinions.

none of the 4 modules are unique to the drive so find a matching drive ( preferable with the same firmware) and copy those 4 modules from a good drive to the bad drive.

There may be some matching ones in the database

if you have access to you the pc-3000 update site, you can download an update PCR file for that family that may have a good match.

I think if you just fix the relo-list that will give you access to the data

Hello,
It didn't work :/
I have the same drive (this drive is the second from raid 0).
I rewrite those modules from the first drive (which is good drive), the only way that I am able to write is by ID (The drive doesn't give me the possibility to write by ABA).
I succeeded to read all the modules by ID but not even single one by ABA.
I tried to fix the translator but it didn't help (maybe because the drive don't access to the SA - only by ID).
The utility shows me:
Configuration reading................... : No SA copy avalabled

Any ideas?

try this...

clone the good one.

since they came out of a raid I am assuming they are identical in firmware and Rom version.

once it is cloned get the good drive going and go into the wd utility and then put it in standy. Hot swap

Then try and fix the modules again.

If that does not work, you may need to do a smart hot swap.
