I have this drive and the PCB went bad. I read that it was possible to replace the PCB. I ordered one and now the drive spins up, but it is showing up as an unknown drive. This model does not have a ROM chip. Windows wants me to initialize it. I am seeking you guys' help.
The drive:
MDL: WD1600AAJS-22PSA0
DATE: 22 OCT 2007
DCM: HANNHTJAGN
The bad PCB:
2061-701444-000 AF
XC 3Y17 1RFJ A 0005130 8135
The new PCB:
2061-701444-000 AF
XH ZZ8J 0635 1 000 102 0 8 021
Can anyone tell me how I can get to my data? I need this pretty quickly. Thank you in advance.

You may have to seek the assistance of a pro with the necessary tools to read the ROM from the SA, assuming that the heads aren't damaged too. I believe that DonorDrives will sell you reprogrammed PCB, if you send them the original drive.
