PCB replacement Help

January 24th, 2013, 4:08

Dear Gurus

I have a Toshiba MK3265GSX 2.5'' hd. It's full info is the following:
MK3265GSX
HDD2H83 B UL02 S
010 C0/GJ003M
CYL16383,H16,S63
LBA 625142448 Sectors
PCB: G002641A

I will have a donor PCB in hands, and I was wondering if someone knows if I can replace the PCB without the need for any chip transferring.

Can PC-3000 UDMA help in transferring?

Thank you
Costas

ROM chip is at location IC602. Fiddly!

Does your donor PCB match, G002641A ?

Are you sure it's a PCB problem? What is the drive doing/not doing?

Helloc Nick_CT
and thanks for your reply.

The Donor PCB matches.
I tried replacing the PCB with the Donor one (without any chip changes) and still it does not work.

In both cases (with original PCB and Donor PCB) I get a 'Readiness Timeout' with PC-3000 UDMA. I tried to run Utility.

Any ideas or estimations?

Thanks again for your time.

You MUST move ROM info on Toshiba drives
