ST31000333AS not responding to TTL

Hello to everybody,

I have a 1 TB Seagate 7200.11 HDD that was not responding any more while reading data from it.
After rebooting the Computer the HDD was not recognized by the BIOS anymore. When powering it on it is spinning up, doing some clicks and then spinning down.

I tried to get some responses via the serial TTL port, but there I do not get any responses or outputs.
(I've tested my cable and configuration with another Seagate 7200.11 HDD - there I got a response).
Even when I disconnect the whole PCB from the chassi I do not get any feedback from the board.

Do you have any idea what could be wrong with the drive and how it could be fixed?

Hi,

the firmware is CC1F.

I took off the PCB and connectedthe TTL cable and the power - but I also didn't get a response.
When I connect TX and RX cable I see in the terminal what I typed on the keyboard. And I tried another 7200.11 HDD (I dont have the same HDD a second time) and there I got an output in the terminal.

PCB faulty?
