Unsure of Logic board swap hard drive specs

February 6th, 2013, 7:57

I have a crashed drive. I have important data on the crashed drive that I need to back up. I was advised to try a logic board swap as a more risk free option than freezing or rapping the drive.

I have located a donor drive but am not sure this will work because there are some variations in the specs. Any advice on whether the donor drive logic board might work would be great.

Here are the drive specs

freezing or rapping the drive ?

Are you really trying to recover the data out of it or are you trying to destroy the drive for good ?

Agree.

How could you possibly consider "freezing or rapping" an option at all??? DO NOT DO IT!!
