Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

hello friends ,
i have a Toshiba MK3265GSX , when powered up it spins but with lower spin noise compared to similar drive .
when connecting to SATA the bios detects the other drives connected to the system but hangs on this drive .
DDI4 says drives is not responding .
i am suspecting that it's a motor related problem as the spin tune is not like "2 other similar healthy drives"
what are you saying ?
thank you

ah forgot to tell that when testing the PCB voltages along with the similar drive's PCB , both givving the same result , so i think the pcb mispowering the drive is excluded ...

thank you for the hint , but nothing new , it still spins at same rate/noise level

Are the heads moving from it's park ?

when connected to power only , i can clearly hear the heads moving out the ramp and repark again and drive continue spinning .
when connected to power + sata cable , heads leave ramp and return then leave then return and producing a sound very similar to the heads sound when u switch PCBs without moving the rom .
i do have a clean room thought , but i will open up the cover as last resort .

I would try find a healthy Pcb and replace/reprogram the ROM...to rule out Pcb first.

thank you , tried that today from a donor drive "without swapping roms" , same issue , and the first drive's PCB spinned the donor one at normal rate .
why didn't i order a platter swap tools with my heads swap ones ?!?!!
thank you
