why would you of copied the recovered data back to a drive with known problems. Seem like a recipe for disaster.
But you should always test the data to make sure it works before letting the client know you got the data.
you are pretty much hosed. not only is the drive failing, but you overwrote all the old data with the new non-working data.
You could try and clone the bad drive and try to run a deleted file scan, but this will all depend on how big the drive is and how much you copied back over.
as other have said multiple times over HDD regenenrator is not a data recovery tool. its purpose is to help fix bad sectors without any regard for the data stored on the drive.
1. You should of made a clone of the drive first, not use HDDregenerator.
2. Recovered data from the clone
3. verified that the data was working
4. copy data back to good working drive, not the same bad one
refund his money and hope it does not get any worse. lesson learned hopefully

I guess data is gone forever now. Hope that in the future you don't do the same mistakes on ANOTHER PERSON DRIVE .......
oh, i read past the low level format....
missed that...
you are hosed...

oooohhh well, i just got a back up from the CPU, yeah i know, i sliped on this one, i will take the advice for the future, and the client is not so mad since he knew the drive was bad, so in a sense it was a last hope to keep using the drive.
thanks to all
Just a doubt, how come i see the files and the size of them? but are empty? that is something that i think was my problem i saw that (but not open any files) so i got the idea that they were ok
