Erase Samsung SSD with lock password on it

February 25th, 2013, 17:43

I have bought Lenovo t400s laptop with lock on it. Found out that the password is located on the Samsung 1.8" 128GB MLC SSD, not on the motherboard, and now I cannot remove the password. So far I've tried several tools like Hiren's boot, Parted Magic to format or erase the disk and so far no success. Downloaded Samsung Magician, Firmware update for the SDD and they are not helpful without the password. I really don't care about the content of the SSD and all I want is to make this unit usable again. Willing to spend some $ but not crazy though. Please advise.

SSD Info:

Lenovo PN 45n7952
F/W VBM1EL1Q
08OCT2009
SEC-U-28GBMLCSSD(B)

Thank you so much,

Ask the previous owner of the password...
