Hi everyone!
Come to here for free solution on how to unlock this hdd. Drive seems not to support master password. No data on disk.
Password set to high.
I have rs-232 adapter. Tried Sediv to save vendor track, but get error while saving with free version. Connection seems OK, this is what I get in hyperterminal:
F>Interface task reset
1024k x 16 buffer detected
TONKA2 - 1_Disk S.53 01-18-06 13:08
(P)PATA Reset
Master

From what I gathered, there is a free solution. Hope there is someone willing to share. Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you Spildit. I knew you were not so stone hearted as in post #3.
- Does G1 work with 7200.9 family? (Is it the proper command for vendor track?)
- Can some kind of hdd error prevent writing buffers back? Because it still shows 01, not 00. If yes, what command to use to find this error out?
