source samsung HD753LJ pastic part that covers pins

March 4th, 2013, 14:01

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to locate and purchase direct from somewhere the grey/gray plastic 'cover' that fits onto the end of the PCB (?) to protect the pins that the SATA and power cable attach to?

I've a Samsung HD753LJ drive that is in perfect working order that I removed the pin 'cover' from to attach onto a member drive of an array that had broken and hence wouldn't work because the cables became loose. My array now works perfectly again however I'd like to reintroduce this drive back to it's spare drive role for obvious reasons.

As the 'cover' slides off the end of the hard drive very easily I can't see this as a difficult ask.

However, I'm a) struggling to discover what the proper name is for this part and b) thus I am struggling to search for a replacement.

Any ideas please?

Thanks.
