WD USB to SATA conversion - new PCB'S

March 20th, 2013, 0:16

Hi Guys,

I hope someone can help me out with this one.
I used to convert USB PCB'S of may passports 2.5" as shown in
PCB-1-S-1.jpg 7 PCB-1-S-2.jpg, this is the standard way as you can find all over the forums.

I received a 1TB drive as seen in the other 2 pictures PCB-2-S-1.jpg &
PCB-2-S-2.jpg which has completely different layout of the PCB, can someone advise how i can convert this one, which components need to be removed and where are the right soldering points?

Thanks

You are facing a problem called SMARTWARE and conversion from USB to SATA in your cases it is not going to help. Do you know how to descript it after conversion?
