Hitachi enormous head parking in MSI notebook

March 22nd, 2013, 6:52

Hi,

I have problem with Hitachi HDD in my MSI CX61. Disk is crazy, it parking head every two minutes. I try quietHDD but temperature grow up and that not satisfy me. I try also uninstall Intel Rapid Storage, Hitachi Feature Tool (can't detect HDD), jumper like in WD HDDs (there is no slot for jumper) and change charge settings in Windows 7 but with no result. In games for example Mafia II, everything work smooth and fine, but every 1-2 minutes appear warp and hangs and HDD LED light. It's very annoying. In my old Asus also with Hitachi HDD but 320GB, load/unload cycle count is 8400~ it's 0,8 per hour. In CX61 it's 151 running hours and 4200 l/u cycles, so its 30 per hour. How to change that stupid APM? s.m.a.r.t. screen below.

Regards
