Why do you think that resetting the SMART status will help you?

What is your objective e.g. are you trying to sell the drive, or are you perform data recovery from this drive, or something else?

What is the actual SMART data (including raw values) for this drive?

I already have exact Maxtor drive, unfortunately doesn't initialize. Hardware is cheap, though.

If you don't need the data just selfscan the drives

Enter God mode first - seems it doesn't work in Normal mode.

or move defects to P List !

If there are other issues it is totally useless.
