7200.12 ST3500418AS

Drive spins up, heads loading normally and drive stays BSY. This drive has the stupid Apple AP25 firmware and as usual does not respond to CRTL+Z. I've had a few drives with Apple firmware that would not respond to terminal commands. Anyone here have a solution for these drives to at least have them respond to terminal commands?

It spits out Rst: 0x10M and then (P) SATA RESET. After that no further communication is possible. Already tried shorting R/W channel but then the drive does not respond to anything. Even just the bare PCB will not accept any terminal commands.

Apple does use the TX/RX pins for temperature sensing in iMacs, so this apple firmware is messing with the TX/RX pins needed for the terminal communication.
