Hi Guys,
Working with a WD1600BEVT-60ZCT1, clicking twice or sometime thrice, then SPIN DOWN.
Suspecting ROM damage initially, later possibility in R/W head.
The PCB doesn't have External ROM, it's embedded in MCU.
PCB No: 2060-701499-005 Rev P1
How do you r/w ROM in this situation?
Just I read ROM in SAFE MODE (PCB Mode) & it's generated 192KB file. Is the ROM operation of SD tool working fine for this PCB by the way?
Also I require ROM/FW resources for this drive.

Probably yes, but firstly it won't do you any good, and secondly even if the heads weren't bad you would almost certainly need the resources from the same version (which you haven't specified)
There are already several resources for this family in hdd files area...

No resources were found till now.
By the way, how to check version/revision of ROM when HDD can't be accessed? Or the ROM is dead/corrupt?
