Hi Guy's,

Just to clarify a small issue.... I have Tosh PCB that has failed and whilst I have several (what I feel are) compatible donors, the original PCB has a KXPB5 linear accelerometer on the board, whilst all of my donors do not.

My question is, are these accelerometers simply like the shock sensors (which is also present on BOTH PCB's), and the PCB is functional with or without them present?... Is there anyone that has come across this before and replaced the PCB without these KXPB5 linear accelerometer present?

Would appreciate your input guy's....

Should be ok, Just swap IC602 over.

FWIW, Seagate's -ASG and -AS Momentus drives come with and without G-force sensors, respectively. However, they accept the same firmware update.

For example, this screenshot compares Dell's -AS and -ASG updates:

They are identical.

It shows that the -AS and -ASG versions receive the same LOD image.

Yup - made no difference whatsoever.... ROM swapped and recovered......
