How to check 7200.7 surface area bad or not

any idea of how to check seagate 7200.7 surface area firmware are bad or no bad ??

SD and other tools can make life easier, some works some not. SD box for Seagate has just a lot of bugs, what works works fine, you just have to know what work and what not. I can say it because I use them everyday and have tested them personally.

SD Seagate box CAN write and read TRACKS, the feature doesn't work properly for all the families.
You can read and write MODULES (with some exceptions that don't work properly, again...) but MODULES are not TRACKS.

This method is not true, you may destroy the HDD when you "try to write to it". Be careful and think twice before write down to service area.
