My external hard disk just became inaccessible by PC. I've changed the PC and USB cables, but still no luck.
Symptoms: Hard disk keeps reading for 2 minutes then stops, but power is still on. When I click on the driver letter, Windows prompt not FORMATTED. Linux cannot mount the disk.I tried out partition recovery software and successfully found the lost partition (files are intact). However, no matter how I save the partition table the disk just keep the UNRECOGNIZED...
Surprisingly, when I connect the disk to the TV, it can be read! I can play video / music flawlessly and can even delete files from it. No more symptoms like the above.
Could anyone tell me how I can fix my hard disk so that it will work again on the PC???
P.S.: HD-CE1.0TU2 has firmwares issues as I google it, however, I cannot flash the firmware due it will erase all my data.
