I don't believe the drive is spinning, at least not at proper RPM.

If you don't want to send the drive to a pro the first thing to do is to make sure that the problem is indeed with the drive and not woith the enclosure.

It's two days old and holds all of my data, as I was using it to store my files while I formatted my laptop and reinstalled Windows 8, which I have not yet been able to do thanks to this drive.
