Fujitsu ata password

May 27th, 2013, 12:59

Hello,

I explain you my problem,i lost or i make error (i don't know) with my password to my HDD Fujistsu MHZ2160BH G1.

I put a password on my hard drive in the bios then I rebooted the computer and when he asked me the password I entered and do not worry I used the computer all day.

The next day I turn on the computer, I type the password and computer tell me that password is not good!

It is impossible that I forgot the password.

Now I want to unlock my hard drive for retrive my data.

I tried with this website http://www.hddunlock.com/ but my hard drive is not supported.

I looked PC3000 and it seems to be the same.

With MHDD is the same.
With ATAPWD my hard drive is not detected.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

Thank you.
Best regards.

these software are not compatible with new encryption
do you have any Professional Tools for Data recovery,
you may try this link:

There is NO encryption, the problem is that even commercial tools CANNOT work directly UNLOCKING the disk.

Assuming you have (?) PC3000 or so, you have to do extra work with it.

Maybe they referring to Trusted FW platform that some Fujitsu drives use
The password is hashed BTW and data MIGHT be encrypted with they key that encrypted with the password but I've never seen FDE Fujitsu drives in my life. Regular Fujitsu drives use the same mechanism of storing the ATA password.

On the other hand it still can be just poor English translation :)

Up today I haven't seen any FDE yet too, all the drives especially in notebook were only ATA locked.
What I see "strange" is a wave of requests for FUJITSU unlock / problems ;)
