Most android phones, including the GS3, are linked to the owner's gmail account and automatically backs up photos and videos to their google plus account. You might want to start there. As for recovering deleted data, mount the phone in windows, make a full sector-by-sector image to a file on your computer and then run a full scan with a program like R-Studio against the image file.

Hi
My experience with 2 cases solved is even if you make a Factory Wipe ,Photos remains intact , 13GB Hard disk is quick formatted in FAT32 format. You can recover Data. However consult experts as this may vary for model to model.

What's tested? With what you did create "sector-by-sector image" ???

You did recovery from SD Card OR HANDSET (I9300) ???

Haltec

P.s. if it's from sd, nevermind than.

If mobile is detecting its memory into PC it is recoverable.

Hi

I have a similar case but with a Samsung Tablet wich is working fine, but the owner kid deleted alot of photos.
A image of the memory can do the trick? Or is it necessary something else more specific?
I don't need forensic tools or nothing very complex. Just want to get the photos back.
Thanks

Guys
Correct me if I am wrong -
We cant access phones Internal memory ( even though phone appears in my computers). I tried several forensic tools like oxygen but even with them could not get access.
Phone must be rooted first & using hardware / software tools like cellebrite , paraben evidence seizure , we might me able to make image of phone memory.
Can someone give any other solution.
Thank you.

@ pclab
u need a forensic tool like UFED becouse it bypass the lock with techno commands.
This techno commands are sent to mobile opening the usb debugger function.
forensic tools are not only for forensic but also for deleted pictures.

@ athena
if forensic tools dont give u deleted pictures and u performed all settings ( like disabling check of unknow software, enabling usb denbugger etc etc ) it means only one: mobile was factory reset or overwritten to more recent datas.

@ DataPlanet
NO

Thanks Positivebit

But forensic software is expensive, just for one case.
Or is there any a little more cheaper?
I'm testing some trial software that claims that can recover deleted photos... Let's see how they go.

i can't answer you about some cheaps software. we use all expensives ( in range of 2-8.000 $ ).
i think that if the are trials and you have time, it's good idea to test them.
