Hello.
I have a problem with a WD500BMVW. I think it's a similar problem to WD500BMVV but the pcb is diferent.
How could I make the connections on the motherboard?
Thank you!!

Hi,
First more info is required about the fault?
Does it spin?
Does it click? Etc
What makes you think it the pcb?
Donordrives has your pcb
http://www.donordrives.com/western-digi ... 5-pcb.html2060-771737-000 REV A
771737-B00 01P
If you buy through them & send your old pcb off the will do a free pcb firmware adaption service too as this info is unique to each drive.

These drives are prone to a lot of different types of failures.
You need to give more information about a) what is that you're trying to do, b) how the drive behaves (spins up? knocks? spins down? etc) c) what have you done so far.

Did you try changing the cable

These drives have very common problem, bad USB connector, contact gets loose and disconnected. Check maybe you just need to solder them back
