Hello,

I have the hdd mentioned above and after a defective power source it become dead. here is the history.

1 - power source become defective, the SO got freezed but the machine stayed on
2 - after reboot, the bios could still recognize the hdd but after that it (the bios) freezed
4 - defective power source was changed
5 - now, sometimes the bios recognize the hdd and sometimes not. when it recognizes sometimes the bios freezes and sometimes not (I could not see a pattern)
6 - even when the hdd is recognized and the bios do not freeze the device still can not be accessed (tried various SO's)

this hdd is a secondary device. the primary one still works perfectly.
there is no unusual noises comming from it and when you do a tactile sense you can feel the motor spinning and the heads moving.

is there anything I can do to fix that?

I have seen people posting photos of their controller boards in this phorum but I did not dare to remove mine. But, if you need some photo, let me know and I will do it!

thanks in advance
