Unlock Password for Seagate

Hello, i'm new in this forum. First of all sorry for my elementar english, i'm italian! so my problem is: i have a hd Seagate Momentus 5400.6 250gb ST9250315AS, blocked with a password, but i did not block it with a password! so can i unlock this drive?

Likely not, because there are likely other problems with the drive. Perhaps firmware, possible mechanical, etc.
Need a solid professional diagnosis and likely a full recovery attempt to sort out what the culprit is exactly.

So i had to discard my drive?

That's your choice.

Choices:
1) Is the drive still under warranty, maybe you can get an RMAed drive if you return to manufacturer if you need a working drive and not data recovery
2) Pursue a professional recovery or refurbish service
3) Try to recover on your own assuming you understand risking severe damage and potentially to never recover the data
4) Can sell the drive "as is" for parts or something
5) Recycle it
6) Donate for research

You can clean your hard drive, you will erase all your data and also your password. If you have PC, go to Start menu and type "diskpart" and press enter
Go to disk management and see what is the number # of your hard drive
go back to window "diskpart" , type in "select disk #" press enter
click clean

Should be all good now
