what is this Segate issue?

The disk start to slow copy/erase or anything you do in any sector that you start the operation ~1 or 2 Gb an then the bios is dosen't reconize anymore
I have the problem frist whit this disk and post it viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25731
know i have a barracuda whit the same issue luky i recover all the disk before it's hang completly
a friend also have another seagate in this conditions
I did clear G-List, Clear SMART but is'nt a BSY problem and dosen't work

What i want to know what its the cause and where i can find documentation to fixit
even when require proff tools like pc-3000 only want to have the idea actualy
