My HDD is making clicking sound for few seconds and it is not getting detected. I have important data in it. Is it possible to get the data back if I change the logic board with same model number and firmware. I've consulted local technicians but they are telling there will be 50-50 chances of getting the data recovered. Please advice.
Details:
seagate barracuda 7200.12 500 Gb
Model No. ST3500418AS
Firmware : CC38
Thanks in Advance

99% chance it is not a logic board issue.
