July 22nd, 2013, 17:43

good evening ;

i have got this toshiba drive , when trying to image using ddi4 , drive gets ready and identify with the correct serial and capacity ,
trying to do head map , will result in drive stuck at BSY
sending "drive preconfiguration" will complete after ~50 secs with no smart errors
trying to test media will start , but will take foreever

i could image the first 8% of it at ~55000 KB/SEC, but then the drive just freeze at BSY , no abnormal sounds , or anything ,

the drive just behaive very similar to the pending bug for seagates ..

now , drive , stopped imaging at all , and freezes at BSY when trying to image ..

any ideas ?

thank you

Use the PC3000 instead, which has several features for working with Toshiba drives with G-List problems, etc.

Yeah, agree with Jono. Have to check on that g-list.

PC3K is great at recovering Toshiba drives with g-list problems.

Not 100%, but assume as likely one of the main issues. Again, this is remote suggestion as we do not have the drive in our hands.

Not 100%, but see many Toshiba with this issue.

Without PC3K, you are going to struggle, BIG TIME :-(
