st31500341as with bad head ?

July 28th, 2013, 11:08

hello all ;
i have this st31500341as with head map 01234567

head 0 is semi-dead , and when ever trying to image some sectors from it , the drive hangs on BSY till a hardware reset command is sent ..

i imaged the other 7 heads successfully , but a critical DB is fragmented , and some portions of it located into the h0 area .

any ideas other than replacing heads ?
just to relieve this head to work a little more

thanks

What kind of equipment do you have? if don't have none, then data recovery company is your only solution.
