SA cant read, ID you see comes from ROM. At this time there is not enough information to give you any sort of advice. What are the symptoms?

Serious electrical problem or simply ROM gone.

I suspect your ROM is fine. Problem is elsewhere.

Note : had MY experience where the ROM was the culprit but it's not general.
NO YOU CAN'T 'REGENERATE' it with any commercial tool in any case.
So said, if cannot read check media/heads/read channel first, then look at ROM.

Hello,
I have a Donor hdd ,

Hello,
I checked patient ROM file , Open in binary mode , there is text of HDD Serial no , part no & firmware no.
So I assume that Patient ROM might be OK. PCB is also ok , there is no Head Crash noise , Motor Spins
& Search for SA (12 times ) then Spins Down .
DONOR hdd is exact Replica , same PCB & Firmware & model no. , part no.
What could be the problem ?
