Newbie here.
My NAS drive stopped working while I was out of town. Roomie finally unplugged it, but I'm afraid it's too late. The drive is a Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200.12. If more info is needed, just ask.
Some of you guys seem to be able to discern whether the problem is a spindle failure, bearing, whatever, based on the sound, so here it is. Yes, the drive gets backed up, but there were some recent files on it, as well as some.... ahem... "video" files that I didn't have space to back up. Not worth sending off to data recovery, but if a new PCB might fix it long enough to copy files off of it, I'd be ecstatic.
