September 5th, 2013, 4:50

Hi Folks,

I've got a 40GB 2.5" PATA Drive without any identification marks.
I attached pictures, any help identifying which brand and model will be appreciated.

Cheers,

I take it you don't work on many Hitachi drives? What are it's symptoms? Probably a HTS541040G9AT00.

Thanks Guys.
No i don't see many Hitachi's around here specially not the old ones.

The symptoms:
Clicking.
I opened it up and didn't see any obvious damage to platters or heads.
Is there a know issue with these models?

Cheers,
Oded
