Problem with my HDD

Hy i buy one HDD sata3 but i have in my motherbord(k8v-x) just sata 1&2 and i can't format or enter in hdd please help me !!!

Some HDDs can be configured for lower SATA link speeds. For example, WD drives have an OPT1 jumper.

i buy this hdd for nothing :rip: there must be somthing to do please i want just to format the hdd ...

Your motherboard has the VIA VT8237 SATA controller. This controller is limited to 1.5Gbps.

If you have a WD drive, then install its OPT1 jumper. Otherwise purchase an add-on SATA card.
