Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

I'm working on two ST9300605SS drives and the first was an easy recover and reassign some bad blocks. The second one looks like it needs firmware repair and it does have a terminal connector but I don't have any commands figured out except go to manufacturing maintenance mode or try to restart reset to go online. Anyone know of the commands for the Seagate Compass series drives?

The terminal port does respond. I can get to the T> prompt and the hdd is offline at this point. Doomer is there anything else to recommend as the hdd does get online sometimes where SeaTools sees it. It faults out though it seems.
