Fujitsu MHV2100BH - Cannot unlock!

September 30th, 2013, 14:14

Hello,

I have a Fujitsu MHV2100BH which I cannot get unlocked. I have tried just about every piece of software I could find (including the A-FF recovery tool) and none of them can get it. I think because it's a "high security" lock. It wasn't locked with a common password, or an easily guessed password. The owner of the drive really needs this data back badly, because she is being audited by the IRS. It seems many years ago she took this laptop to a friend of her husbands because they couldn't remember their password to Windows - and the idiot added a BIOS password and a HDD password. Then forgets what he set it to (only days later).

It appears that this drive can be unlocked if you have a "HD Dr" and you use the same methods as you would with a Toshiba (connecting to the serial contacts). Well, I don't own one of these and I am guessing that they probably cost an arm and a leg.

Is there anyone out there that could unlock this? If so, please PM me with where you are located (preferably someone in the USA) and how much you are asking for the service.

Thanks!

you may need the other converter

Are you talking about the HD Doctor?

Because I was also reading some instructions on making your own serial/USB interface to the drive.

This might work??
