If 'noise pattern' means a short cycle of heads knocking, in conjunction with spindle stopping, very likely you have bad heads

hi,
is it possible for bad sectors on platter?
October 9th, 2013, 5:25
possible, but the bad secots would have to be in the system area right where the drives firmwhere is. It's more likely the drive has a head crash. A DR company should give you a free check service I beleave.
