Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi there,
I've successfully restored many 7200.11/12 drives with the LED 0xCC problem, but this drive is different. It is a 7200.11 ES.2, with locked terminal access -so the tweezers methods can be used-, but as soon as it spins up, it enters an endless loop of recallibration attempts, one every 2 or 3 seconds (upon startup, terminal starts giving LED:000000CC errors). Between each recallibration, having the tweezers on the differential read channel, the terminal spits out some F3 T> on CTRL+Z, but as soon as it recallibrates again, another LED:000000CC is shown and the terminal is locked again. PCB replacement was performed using common methods.
Any ideas what may this drive suffer from?
Thanks
