RAID 5 - WD Disk - 2 x Disks Failed - Similar Issue

October 27th, 2013, 8:33

Hi

I have 3 x WD disks from Dell server. According to the user 2 x Disk failed at the same time. Please find the link to the video of the hard disk power on sound. Both the failed disks during power on gives same sound.

Is this head crash problem?. The disk comes ready and able to identify correctly as WD disk and Mars family, but not able to show the capacity.

Cheers

The motor us unable to spin for many reasons. The fact that you needed to ask the question suggests that you are ill-equipped to handle this recovery and you should send it to a professional data recovery lab before any further damage is done. There is still a good chance of recovery, if they get these drives in the current condition.

Thanks Jignesh I don't have the disks now as I passed to another DR for recovery. When the disks are back I will post the terminal log here.
