Anyone know if any of the standard data recovery programs recover ReiserFs and Reiser4 File Systems? Perhaps R-Studio of UFS Explorer? I can only seem to get RAW recoveries.

What is the problem that you are trying to recover from?

I am a little confused by this one. I have an external hard drive that has been imaged and scanned through R-Studio. The scan does give me a green partition the same size as the original (and over 200 yellow). I have folder structure but the files are corrupt. Most of the partitions give me a EFI Sector label. I ran the drive through testdisk and it told me there was a ReiserFS partition.

UFS Explorer does work with ReiserFS

I tried UFS and it said the file system was unknown. I think it's basically full of corruption.

Did you get a 100% clean clone of the drive? Again, what was the original problem?

Original problem was a power surge. Imaged okay on the DDI except for 350 sectors (500 GB drive). So not entirely clean, but pretty close.

UFS explorer should be able to pick it up.

Bit more info: It was a single drive on a Simpleshare NAS.

I'd fight to get the remaining sectors...should be able to mount directly within Linux.

Consider me fighting. Will get back to you. Thanks for your help
