Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello everyone,
I have one bricked WD My Book Essential - 2TB, but my client brought only harddrive. I think that USB bridge board was damaged. I tried to take a look via Disk Editor, but the only thing which I have found out was that harddrive is encrypted. I cannot recover data without USB bridge board. I have tried some utilities, I can see one small partition, but that's all. On harddrive is not any other hardware issue, I guess. My questions are: What should I do? Do I have any possibilities, how to recover it? Do you think, that if I try other USB bridge board it will go? Thanks for replies...

If you want to send to Guelph, I'd be happy to assess it.
Edit: Did you just change your location to Slovakia? I thought, for sure, it said Toronto when I first read your post.

I would send it, but I'm not from Canada... Now, I have changed my place of living - the information "Toronto" was wrong information... Do you have any ideas?

At least I'm not losing what little mind I have left.
A few forum members that instantly come to mind who should be able to help are PCImage and BlackST.
