Recovery Help - Ghost Screw Up

November 23rd, 2013, 14:21

Hi,
So i have a hard drive that i "made" and image of with ghost on to an external hard drive and ghost for some reason just wrote the header for the GHO file so it looked like the file was there but no data was on the external (was not using space) and i did not notice right away.

the hard drive that i made the image from i have ghosted another image on to (several times.... kept freezing at 48%) and now i need to recover the orginal data that ghost was suppose to back up.

I have run GetDataBack and it has just found the new data none of the old data.

A little more info, the hard drive was a FAT partition when the original data was on the hard drive and it was ghosted to be a NTFS if it makes a difference.

Any suggestion... software that might be able to do this?

Hi,

What's the size of the drive?
What's the amount of data that you've written by now? When did that happen?
