It sudenlly happens, I noticed that the bios and explorer in win 7 did not detect these external HDD, I only used for photos and picasa as a viewer/manager.
I notice that device and printers detect the "Y" adapter as seagate goflex, one led on the adapter turns ON and I can feel the HDD spining but no strange noises.
Tried to connect it using a sata and power cable to Main board and still not showing on explorer.
Please if someone have any input, let me know.
Thanks

Try taking the drive out of the chassis and connecting via SATA.
See if it s connected by the PC BIOS.
Also, you can download MHDD from this site and test with that.

If connecting directly to the motherboard still makes the drive undetectable, you may have some firmware issue probably.
If your data is valuable, I would also get a proper diagnosis and quote from a pro.

As you already tried to conect it directly and still no detection, I will also give a vote for firmware problem.

Often one weak/bad head can make it seem like a firmware issue, too.
Careful how much power cycling goes on and on..

That's not exactly what I asked, or what he said

I asked him to connect via SATA and check if it would appear in BIOS, not in explorer!
It quite possibly is a fw issue, but at least it might help narrow our options down.
