Recovery Software?? What do you use?

November 30th, 2013, 13:40

OK here's the Question. I have a Image of a Hard Drive, (Linux) unknown flavor that I would like to try and recover files from. (specifically Driver Files)
What is the Software you all use to do this with?
I have tried winhex, and it does find several files png jpeg ect... But it seems to mess up when looking for Gz Zip ect. No Complete files.
Also the real hard Drive appears to have hidden or locked partitions, I can see them in Linux, but unable to mount with another PC, But it does run when connected to "it's" machine. But I can not find a way to get access to anything but the running program.

R-Studio is a good place to start.
