Where can i buy head stack assemblies?

I have been searching all over to find a place where i can buy replacement head stack assemblies and cannot seem to find anything.
Can anyone help?

you probably can't
they are not sold separately from drives

As Doomer says, you can't buy them seperately. You have to remove them from a compatible "donor" drive.

That's right; in fact, you may sometimes need to use some information from the rest of the drive (i.e., the electronic board) to make the new headstack work properly.

I have a few thousand...willing to pitch in the rest of the drive for free. The heads sell anywhere between $50 and $500.
